- Hybrids between Eucalyptus coolabah and E. conica, E. crebra, E. intertexta, E. largiflorens, E. melanophloia, E. ochrophloia, E.pilligaensis, E. populnea (K.D.Hill & L.A.S.Johnson, Telopea 5: 762, 1994) and E. whitei (R.J.F.Henderson, Names Dist. Qld Pl., Algae & Lichens: 124, 2002) are recorded. Intergrades are also recorded between E. victrix and E. coolabah ('subsp. arida' and 'E. gymnoteles' of Hill & Johnson loc. cit.). A reputed hybrid E. microtheca x E. albens is the basis for E. yagobiei Maiden (see L.D.Pryor & L.A.S.Johnson, A Classification of the Eucalypts, 96, 1971), although the first parent in this hybrid could also be E. coolabah.
