remarks: Spence & Ramsay (2019: 101) report a collection by Willis from Victoria (MEL 1031404) as the first report of the genus Leptostomopsis in Australia, thereby overlooking that in their Flora of Australia treatment (Spence & Ramsay 2006, 2012) they excluded Brachymenium pulchrum from the Australian bryoflora, based on the assumption that a much earlier collection from the Mitten herbarium (MEL 0222116) must have been mislabeled.
