  • APC Comment: Taxonomic status of this name is uncertain. Frahm (1996) recognised the variety Rhacocarpus rehmannianus var. webbianus. However, in the Flora of Southern Africa (Magill & Van Rooy 1998), Rhacocarpus rehmannianus is considered a synonym of Rhacocarpus purpurascens. Rhacocarpus webbianus most likely is also a synonym of Rhacocarpus purpurascens, but the type needs to be studied to confirm this.

  • remarks: Taxonomic status of this name is uncertain. Frahm (1996) recognised the variety Rhacocarpus rehmannianus var. webbianus. Rhacocarpus webbianus is most likely conspecific with Rhacocarpus purpurascens, but the type needs to be studied to confirm this.
