The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. APC Comment:An Asian taxon recorded by F.M.Bailey, Queensland Fl. 2: 415 (1900) (as Desmodium reniforme (L.) DC.), M.S.Knaap-van Meeuwen, Reinwardtia 6: 257 (1962) and H.Ohashi, Ginkgoana 1: 230 (1973), but not known to occur in Australia.
