Vascular Plants
Australian Plant Name Index (APNI)
The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.
Type:"Summit of Mount Arthur Mr Gunn, (n. 139.)" [Type number should read "129". See comments below]
Comment:See L.Diels in Engler's Das Pflanzenr. 26 (Jul. 1906) 64 where the type is given as "Mount Arthur (Gunn n. 129 ...)". This is further supported by Hooker's citation of Gunn 129 in Fl. Tasmaniae, and a specimen at HO annotated "129" in Gunn's handwriting (A.M. Buchanan, pers. comm. 2004).
