The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.

Type: "In solo limoso-calculoso inter frutices ad latus montium Darling's-range, Perth, 1839. Herb. Preiss. No. 1975."

Comment: The designation “Calectasia grandiflora L.Preiss subsp. grandiflora” is listed by C.M.Parker & J.M.Percy-Bower, Nuytsia 27: 10 (2016). However, this autonym had not been established as no subspecific taxa had been published within Calectasia grandiflora at the time (ICN Art. 26.3 (Shenzhen Code, 2018)).
-
Comment: A.D.Chapman, Austral. Pl. Name Index 532 (1991) lists the name "Calectasia grandiflora Sond. ... nom. illeg.". However, since Sonder attributes the name to Preiss this is here considered to be a secondary reference and not an attempt by Sonder to publish the name of a new taxon.
