The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.

Comment: Authorship of this name is sometimes ascribed to “(Bosch) C.B.Clarke, Trans. Proc. Linn. Soc. London, Bot. 1: 49 (1880)”. In that work, Clarke (on p. 440, not ‘49’) lists in synonymy under Trichomanes bipunctatum a number of Didymoglossum species first described by van den Bosch in Nederl. Kruidk. Arch. 5(3) (1863). While this list of synonyms includes Didymoglossum latealatum Bosch, Clarke does not make the combination at varietal rank.
