The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.

Comment: Authorship sometimes attributed to "(Cav. ex DC.) Benth." However, G.Bentham, Cat. pl. Pyrenees 95 (1826), referred to "Thlaspi heterophyllum DC.?", the query sign indicating uncertainty as to whether L. heterophyllum and de Candolle's T. heterophyllum were the same taxon. Accordingly, L. heterophyllum is here considered a sp. nov. published by Bentham (K. Ghandi, pers. comm. 2007).

APC Comment: A European taxon, recorded by M.F.de Salas & M.L.Baker, Census Vasc. Pl. Tasmania 25 (2016), but not considered to be established in Australia (M.de Salas, pers. comm. 2018).
