APC Comment: A widespread taxon, now referred to Sporobolus indicus (L.) R.Br., recorded by C.B.Trinius, Gram. Unifl. Sesquifl. 153 (1824), but not known to occur in Australia. Sporobolus indicus is now considered a misapplication to Sporobolus africanus (Poir.) Robyns & Tournay in Australia.
