The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. APC Comment:A New Zealand taxon, now referred to Lastreopsis velutina (A.Rich.) Tindale, recorded by J.G.Baker & W.J.Hooker in W.J.Hooker & J.G.Baker, Syn. Fil. 7: 281 (1867), but not known to occur in Australia.
