Datura innoxia Mill. , legitimate, scientific
Miller, P. (1768), The Gardeners Dictionary Edn. 8: [Datura sp. no. 5] BHL [tax. nov.]
  • Type: (none cited).
  • Comment: The species epithet is apparently derived from the Latin adjective innoxius (not harmful), in reference to the "harmless spines" described by Miller. His original spelling of the epithet as "inoxia" is thus here corrected under Art. 60.1 (Shenzhen Code, 2018).
