  • Type: Cordyline cannifolia R.Br. (ref. Taxon 33 (1984) 300).
  • Comment: Index Nominum Genericorum 1 (1979) 422 and I.C.B.N. (1983) both give the author as A.L. de Jussieu in Gen. Pl. (4 (Aug. 1789) 41 with the type as Cordyline terminalis (L.) Kunth, however Jussieu did not validly publish the genus therein. See note on conservation in Taxon 33 (1984) 300. Nom. cons. vs CORDYLINE Adans. (1763) (nom. rej.) (ref. I.C.B.N. (1983) No. 1108).
