The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. Comment:Lauterbach attributes this name to "(R. Br.) Engl. in Nat. Pflzfam. II. 5. p. 50". H.G.A.Engler in H.G.A.Engler & K.A.E.Prantl (eds), Nat. Pflanzenfam. II, 5(6): 50 (1887), synonymises Xerotes R.Br. under Lomandra Labill. but does not make any combinations at species rank.
