The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.

Comment: Authorship of this name is here accepted as ascribed under ICN Art. 46.2 (Shenzhen Code, 2018), as Goldblatt & Barnard indicate separately on p. 306 that they had received the information in a "private communication" from de Vos. There is an earlier reference to the name as a "comb. nov. ms." by M.P. de Vos, J. S. African Bot. 36: 273 (1970), but the combination is not validly made there as no full and direct reference to the basionym is provided as required by ICN Art. 41.5 (Shenzhen Code, 2018).
