The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.

Text: "Consequently, Doemia R. Br. (1811a) has the same circumscription as that of Pergularia L. and is, therefore, superfluous, both being based on the same type. Thus, N. E. Brown reestablished Pergularia in the sense of Doemia R. Br., i.e., in the Arabian sense, the currently accepted position."
-
APC Comment: A widespread taxon, now referred to Pergularia L., recorded by F.J.H. von Mueller, Syst. Census Austral. Pl. 94 (1882), but not known to occur in Australia.
