Eucalyptus trivalva Blakely , legitimate, scientific
Blakely, W.F. (23 December 1936), Descriptions of three new species and one variety of Eucalyptus of the Elder and Horn expeditions, the "White-wash gum" of central Australia, and the re-discovery of Eucalyptus orbifolia F. v. M. Transactions and proceedings of the Royal Society of South Australia 60: 155 BHL [tax. nov.]
  • Type: "Only known from south of Queen Victoria Spring, Western Australia, R. Helms No. 28, Elder Exploring Expedition, September, 1891."
  • Comment: Some later authors have changed Blakely's species epithet trivalva (Three-valve Eucalyptus) to the adjectival form "trivalvis" (Three-valved Eucalyptus). The epithet is treated here as a word in apposition and thus not subject to correction (ICN Art. 23.1 (Shenzhen Code, 2018)).
