The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. APC Comment:The 'Grevillea hookeriana' or 'G. hookerana' common in horticulture (also sold as Grevillea 'Red Hooks') is a sterile hybrid of G. hookeriana and G. tetragonoloba (fide R.O.Makinson, Fl. Australia 17A: 79 (2000)).
