The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.

Type: "Calder River, Walcott Inlet and Admiralty Gulf, on the basaltic plains or undulations forming a common shrub in the open forests of Eucalyptus spenceriana ... Fl. M. September–October."
-
Lectotype: "Walcott Inlet, Kimberley, W.A., 21 Sep 1922, C.A. Gardner 1584 (PERTH holo [sic; lecto]; NSW, iso [sic; isolecto])."
-
Text: "Only two specimens of the type material are known. The Perth specimen is labelled type on the original Forests Department label with the species name. The N.S.W. sheet had the specific name added at a later date and not by Gardner." -
Comment: Although the specimen Gardner 1584 at PERTH was listed by Byrnes as the "holo", since the original material consists of specimens from more than one gathering this citation is here considered to constitute an effective lectotypification by Byrnes under ICN Art. 9.10 (Shenzhen Code, 2018).
