Australian Plant Name Index (APNI)
The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.
Type:"Victoria: Wimmera; no date and collector; sent by F.v. Mueller as C. microphyllum F.v.M. (Herb. Murr). New South Wales: Dubbo, 1886, E. Betche (Herb. Murr); Coolabah, 1904, J.H. Maiden (Herb. Murr)."
Text:"I have selected as lectotype the Coolabah collection since it is the only syntype present in Paul Aellen's herbarium (now in herb. G). It is also an excellent representative of the plant generally referred in herbaria to C. anidiophyllum. The Dubbo syntype cited above belongs to this taxon [subsp. anidiophyllum] but the syntype from Wimmera (NSW 143105 [sic; NSW 143082]) has greater affinity to subsp. microphyllum."
Comment:Wilson cites two different specimens as lectotypes, one from Dubbo on p. 152 and the other from Coolabah on p. 155. However, his justification for the choice of the Coolabah specimen as lectotype on p. 157 indicates that he regards the Dubbo specimen as a (remaining?) syntype.
