Etymology: "Names in honour of Miss Margaret Flockton, the talented artist of my "Forest Flora of New South Wales," "Critical Revision of the Genus Eucalyptus" etc., who adds to her artistic skill the capacity of working out botanical points in a most intelligent manner."
