(5 June 2019), Unusual new species of Styphelia (Ericaceae, Epacridoideae, Styphelieae) from north-eastern Australia.   • Type: "Australia: Queensland. COOK DISTRICT: Brooklyn Wildlife Sanctuary, on mid-slopes of south-western edge of the Carbine Tableland, 16°39'40"S, 145°16'20"E, 755min altitude, 23 Jan. 2016, D.M.Crayn 1386, R.Jensen & J.Kemp (holo: CNS 146743; iso: BRI distribuendi)."
  • Etymology: "Named for the staminal filaments that are strongly twice-geniculate, with two sharp bends, one at the proximal and one at the distal end. Filaments of this type are unknown elsewhere in Epacridoideae. Sinuous but not geniculate filaments are known in a few species of Andersonia R.Br., Coleanthera Stschegl. and Sprengelia Sm."
