  • Etymology: "Named after Garry Brockman (1954-), recently retired career physiotherapist with a fascination for nature and botany with particular interest in Western Australia's native orchids. Garry is a Research Associate at the Western Australian Herbarium, has made extensive plant collections (including several type specimens) which are lodged with the herbarium and has collaborated with other taxonomists to name several new orchid species."
