Type: "Pullenia gunnii (Benth. ex Hook. f.) H.Ohashi & K. Ohashi."

Etymology: "Pullenia honors Mr. Royal (Roy) Pullen (1925–2009), who sent the duplicates of his collections of Australian Desmodium to H. Ohashi. These specimens, housed in TUS, made the study of Australian species of Desmodium in this work possible."
