The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.

Text: "This name was applied to plants exhibited at a meeting of the Royal Horticultural Society of England. Andre quoted that M.W.Watson, in the Gardeners' Chronicle (no publication details provided) suggested that they were plants of Livistona mariae. However, without specimens or a description, this cannot be supported, and the name cannot be placed."

APC Comment: A name of uncertain application, possibly referable to Livistona mariae F.Muell. (see J.L.Dowe & D.L.Jones in A.Wilson (ed.), Fl. Australia 39: 210 (2011)).
