The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.

Type: "in ins. Timor."

Comment: A.P. de Candolle consistently used the spelling "timoriensis" for epithets throughout his contributions to the Prodromus, usually including "ins. Timor." in the type locality. Since this can be interpreted as an abbreviation of "insula Timoria", these epithets are thus not "corrected" to timorensis, although this is an acceptable alternative spelling used by some other contributors to the work.
