George, A.S. (December 2019), On orthography. Australian Systematic Botany Society Newsletter 181: 40 [secondary reference]
  • Text: "Eremophila glabra subsp. psammophora: from Greek psammo- (sand-) + -phorus (bearing) (said to be sand-loving, which would be psammophila). Perhaps it bears sand grains caught up in the indumentum."
  • Comment: As indicated by George, the taxon name does not match the etymology supplied by the original author but since it is nonetheless orthographically correct the original spelling is to be retained under ICN Art. 60.1 (Shenzhen Code, 2018).
