APC Comment: Authorship of this taxon is sometimes attributed to "(Sm.) Macreight". Macreight's name is based on Salix oleifolia Sm., an illegitimate later homonym of Salix oleifolia Vill., and as such the name should be attributed to Macreight alone in accordance with ICBN Art. 58 (2006) (see also GRIN at http://www.ars-grin.gov/cgi-bin/npgs/html/taxon.pl?318676). -
