Comment: G.Bentham, Edwards' Bot. Reg. 15: sub t. 1289 (1829), under his new genus Physostegia states that "This genus includes Dracocephalum virginianum Linn. ...". However, as Bentham did not definitely associate the genus name and specific epithet as required under ICN Art. 35.2 (Melbourne Code, 2012), the combination at specific rank was not made therein.
