Comment: Sprengel marked this name with an asterisk to indicate that he was making a new combination, apparently unaware of the publication of Arthropodium pendulum (Hornem.) DC. (1813). A.D.Chapman, Austral. Pl. Name Index 273 (1991), listed this as "Arthropodium pendulum (Redoute) Sprengel... nom. illeg. non DC. (1813)" but this is here corrected to a later isonym as defined by ICN Art. 6 Note 2 (Shenzhen Code, 2018).
