  • Etymology: "The specific epithet honours my friend and colleague Mr R.J.F.Henderson who not only was joint collector of the type on the first organised expedition to collect plants of the Blackdown Tableland, but also a noted systematist specialising in LIliaceae (sensu latissimo) (for example, Henderson 1987 [i.e. Flora of Australia 45 (1987)]"
