The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.

-
APC Dist.: SA
-
Etymology: The scientific and common names refer to Vokes Hill, between the Serpentine Lakes and Emu in the Great Victoria Desert of SA, which is one of the localities where the species occurs. It has been discovered that Vokes Hill and ohter nearby geographical features were actually named after W. Voakes, and so both spellings can be encountered for geographical features in the region.
