Cat. 335 (2000) list the name "Eremophila interstans (S.Moore) Diels subsp. interstans", but this autonym was not established until 2007 (see R.J.Chinnock, Eremophila and Allied Genera, 634). W.R.Barker et al., Census South Austral. Vasc. Pl. 5th edn, 129 (2005) list the name "Eremophila interstans (S.Moore) Diels var. interstans", but this autonym does not exist as there are no varietal names published under Eremophila interstans.
