Type: Australia, Western Australia, road to Beagle Bay N of Broome, 10-15 km N of junction with Broome-Derby Highway, eucalyptus-lysiphyllum woodland on grey-brown sandy soil, locally common (in shade of eucalyptus, not of lysiphyllum), 29 May 1985, Fryxell, Craven & Stewart 4556 (holotype: CANB!; isotypes: K!, NA!, PERTH!, pf!).
