Australian Plant Name Index (APNI)
The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.
Comment:Treated here as being validly published via reference to the previously published description of Agonis hypericifolia (Otto & A.Dietr.) Schauer by J.C.Schauer in Plantae Preissianae 1(1): 117 (1844), but explictly excluding the type of Leptospermum hypericifolium Otto & A.Dietr. (Allg. Gartenzeitung 9: 243 (1841)). This name is thus typified by the Preiss and Cunningham specimens from Western Australian cited by Schauer in Plantae Preissianae 1(1): 117 (1844).
Text:The epithet of this species has been corrected from the original "theaeformis" to "theiformis" in accordance with Article 60.8 of the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature (McNeill et al. 2006).
