Vascular Plants
Australian Plant Name Index (APNI)
The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.
APC Comment:Hybrids are known between C. dallachiana and C. peltata (as 'C. dimorpha') (Hill & Johnson, 1995). Hybrids/intergrades are recorded for Qld between C. leichhardtii and C. peltata ('C. dimorpha') (Hill & Johnson, 1995). Hybrids are known in Qld between C. peltata ('C. dimorpha') and C. tessellaris. Two subspecies were recognised in this taxon when it was in Eucalyptus, but the equivalent combinations do not exist in Corymbia. The taxon previously known as Eucalyptus peltata subsp. dimorpha is now considered to be based on intergrade material between C. leichhardtii and C. peltata (Euclid 2006).
