APC Comment: Treated as Striga angustifolia by I.R.H.Telford, Fl. Australia 50: 379 (1993), with Striga asiatica in synonymy. However, other treatments (e.g. D.Hong et al., Fl. China 18: 88 (1998)) treat these taxa as distinct, and this circumscription is adopted here. The description of the single CoI specimen cited by Telford is a better match for S. asiatica. -
