The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.

Comment: A.D.Chapman, Austral. Pl. Name Index 1715 (1991), lists “Kennedia prorepens F.Muell.” as a nom. inval., pro syn., stating that it was included by Mueller in synonymy under Caulinia prorepens F.Muell. While Mueller’s notes indicate that his new taxon may belong in Kennedia he does not definitely associate the genus name with the species epithet as required by ICN Art. 35.2 (Shenzhen Code, 2018). -
Comment: Combination made by indirect reference to the basionym, via Mueller's citation "F. v. M., fragm. VIII, 225 (1874)" [i.e. F.J.H. von Mueller, Fragm. 8: 225 (1874)], the place of publication of Caulinia prorepens F.Muell.
