Text: "Listed for Vic. by A.J.Ewart, Vict. Naturalist 24: 191 (1908), based on a specimen collected by Charles Walter in 1898. The species has not been collected in Australia since and it is not considered naturalised. The specimen in MEL was correctly identified at the time and has since been redetermined as Helictotrichon pratense (L.) PIlg., Repert Spec. Nov. Regni Veg. 45: 6 (1938)."
