Vascular Plants
Australian Plant Name Index (APNI)
The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.
Comment:Hooker attributes this name to "J. Sm." but also lists "Synaphlebium obtusum, J. Sm. ... (name only)" in synonymy. Hooker is here cited as the sole author of the validly published name following ICN Art. 46.4 (Shenzhen Code, 2018).

Text:"Kramer and Tindale (1976, p. 119) cited the type of the name Lindsaea obtusa as ‘holotype: Malacca, Cuming 394 (K). Isotypes: B, E, GH, P, W’. This is here treated as effective lectotypification by Kramer and Tindale, in accordance with ICN Art. 7.11 (Turland et al. 2018). Because their citation meets the relevant requirements of ICN Art. 7.11, the use of the term ‘holotype’ is correctable under ICN Art. 9.10."
