The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. Lectotype:"Drummond 265, packet at centre right of sheet of G. biformis from the Meisner herbarium housed in the herbarium of the New York Botanical Garden (NY)."
Etymology:"The specific epithet refers to the two leaf shapes present on the holotype, linear leaves on the floral branches and obovate leaves on the vegetative material. it is derived from the Latin bi (two) and forma (a shape)."
