Type: G. Chippendale s.n. (NT 2132), Northern Territory, 4 miles (6.4 km) N. of Olunga Well, Angas Downs. Herb to 1 foot, flowers pink. Bulbous plant. Common, in deep red sand; 18 June 1956 (holo CANB, iso AD, BRI, MEL, NSW, NT).
