Australian Plant Name Index (APNI)
The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.

Comment:Reference to replaced synonym indirect, via citation of "Linn. Suppl. 138." [i.e. C.Linnaeus filius, Suppl. Pl. 138 (1782)], itself a secondary reference to the Forsters' name.
Comment:The designation "Styphelia lanceolata Sm. f. lanceolata" was listed by A.D.Chapman, Austral. Pl. Name Index 2778 (1991), but this autonym does not exist, in accordance with ICBN Art. 27.2 (Shenzhen Code, 2018).
