Vascular Plants
Australian Plant Name Index (APNI)
The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.
APC Comment:Intergrades are recorded between E. extrica and E. pleurocarpa (Nicolle, 2000). Eucalyptus conveniens is thought to be a stabilised hybrid between E. gittinsii subsp. illucida and E. pleurocarpa but no contemporary hybridisation seems to be taken place between these taxa (Nicolle, 2000). Nicolle, Nuytsia 13: 318 (2000) considered E. tetragona to be composed of intergrades between E. pleurocarpa and E. extrica.
