Comment: nom. rej. vs. CANANGA (DC.) J.D.Hook. & Thoms. (nom. cons.) (ref. I.C.B.N. (1983) No. 2684). Index Nominum Genericorum 1 (1979) 282 give this as an orthographic variant of CANANGA J.D.Hook. & Thomson, but Baillon deliberately created a new name for Hooker & Thomson's later homonym.
