Australian Plant Name Index (APNI)
The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. For a listing of currently accepted scientific names for the Australian vascular flora, please use the Australian Plant Census (APC) link above.

A study of the Senecio pinnatifolius/lautus complex is provided by I.R.Thompson, Muelleria 21: 23-76 (2005). A possible hybrid between Senecio pinnatifolius s. lat. and Senecio glossathus has been recorded from SA (I.R.Thompson, Muelleria 21: 7, 2005). Hybrids between Senecio pinnatifolius and Senecio elegans have been recorded from Victoria (N.G.Walsh in N.G.Walsh & T.J.Entwisle (eds), Fl. Victoria 4: 949, 1999).
