APC Comment: Recorded by A.J.Ewart et al., Proc. Roy. Soc. Victoria 24: 263 (1912) as an "exotic not yet sufficiently established to be considered naturalised". Not known to be established in Australia. A.D.Chapman, Austral. Pl. Name Index 2633 (1991), attributes the name to Ewart, as an invalid nomen nudum, but it appears that Ewart et al. were referring to de Candolle's name.
