The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. APC Comment:A widespread taxon that R.S.Cowan, Fl. Australia 12: 20 (1998), indicated may extend into tropical Australia from Asia. However no Australian material has been confirmed.
Text:"This is an African species which extends into south and SE Asia, Malesia and presumably tropical Australia. However, no Australian specimens have been seen."
APC Comment:A widespread taxon suggested by R.S.Cowan, Fl. Australia 12: 20 (1998), as possibly occurring in tropical Australia, but this is not supported by specimens.
