The Australian Plant Name Index (APNI) is a tool for the botanical community that deals with plant names and their usage in the scientific literature, whether as a current name or synonym. APNI does not recommend any particular taxonomy or nomenclature. APC Comment:The name Senecio brachyglossus F.Muell. ex Benth. var. brachyglossus is listed by A.D.Chapman, Austral. Pl. Name Index 2629 (1991)), but this autonym does not exist, in accordance with ICBN Art. 27.2 (Vienna Code) (2006). A possible hybrid between Senecio glossanthus and Senecio pinnatifolius s. lat. has been recorded from SA (I.R.Thompson, Muelleria 21: 7 (2005)).
