Euphorbiaceae Juss.
Macaranga inamoena Benth. , legitimate, scientific
Bentham, G. (23 September 1873), Flora Australiensis 6: 145-146 BHL [tax. nov.]
  • Type: "Queensland. Rockingham Bay, Dallachy."
taxonomic synonym: Mallotus inamoenus Benth. nom. inval., pro syn.
  • Comment: Bentham cites this name as "M. inamoena, F.Muell." but also lists "Mallotus inamoenus, F. Muell. Herb." in synonymy. Since it appears that he adopted the epithet from Mueller's unpublished designation but placed the species in a different genus, authorship is here attributed to Bentham alone following ICN Art. 46.4 (Shenzhen Code, 2018).
