Solanum saponaceum Sims, nom. illeg., scientific tax. nov. apni
Sims, J. (June 1826), Curtis's Botanical Magazine 53: t. 2697 [tax. nov.] BHL
  • Comment: nom. illeg., non Dunal (1813).
  • Comment: The authorship of this name is often attributed to "Hook.". As there is no internal evidence of Hooker being the author, in contrast to other taxon names published by him in the same volume where the descriptions and notes are signed "W.H.", the name is here ascribed to Sims.
